What is included in the rent?

Our student accommodation is equipped with world-class amenities, including free fast Wi-Fi. The rent also includes all utilities such as electricity and water ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free living experience.

Are All CJ Student Junctions Accredited for 2025?

Yes, all of our student accommodations are accredited for 2025. Here is a list of our accredited residences:

What should I bring with me when I move in?

Each room in the residence is equipped with the following:

  • bed,
  • mattress,
  • study desk,
  • chair, and
  • cupboard.

All you need to bring is cutlery and crockery, bed linen and towels.

How do I do my laundry?

All of our student accommodation residences have laundry rooms equipped with washing machines. The use of the laundry rooms is free of charge for current residents. Note that we do not supply cleaning materials, powders, or detergents.

How long is The lease and do I pay a deposit?

The lease is for 10 months, and all students are required to pay a breakage deposit, which is fully refundable if there are no breakages and your rental is up to date. NSFAS students only pay a key deposit, while cash students pay both the first month’s rent deposit and a key deposit.

What types of rooms are available, and what do they include?

We offer a variety of room types to suit different preferences and needs:

  • Single Rooms: Private room with a bed, mattress, study desk, chair, and cupboard.
  • Shared Rooms: Shared room with a bed, mattress, study desk, chair, and cupboard for each occupant.
  • Studio Apartments: Available only at Solaris Crest, these private rooms come with a bed, mattress, study desk, chair, cupboard, and a small kitchenette.

All rooms are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi and access to shared amenities.

How do I report maintenance issues, and how long does it take to resolve them?

To report maintenance issues, you can use the OnKey platform. We have placed QR codes at strategic locations throughout the residence for your convenience. Simply scan the QR code to be directed to the OnKey platform where you can report the issue. Our dedicated maintenance team will respond to your request promptly, and the typical response and completion times are as follows:

  • Priority 1 (Critical): 0-12 hours to respond and complete
  • Priority 2 (Urgent): 7 days to respond and complete
  • Priority 3 (Normal): 14 days to respond and complete
  • Priority 4 (Projects): 20 days after purchase order approval to respond and complete

What security measures are in place?

We take the safety of our residents very seriously. Our student accommodation residences are equipped with the following security measures:

  • 24/7 Security Guards: On-site security personnel.
  • CCTV Cameras: Monitoring key areas.
  • Access Control: Secure entry systems.
  • Off-Site Monitoring: Continuous surveillance to ensure your safety.

Can I be charged in my personal capacity for any damages?

Yes, you can be charged in your personal capacity for any damages to the property. It is important to take good care of the student accommodation and report any issues promptly to avoid additional charges.
